Strathpeffer Spa village is an ideal base from which to investigate what the Scottish Highlands has to offer - beautiful beaches, spectacular mountains, famous golf courses, wild dolphins, fishing and the Whisky Trail are just some of the exciting day trips available. Only 27km from Inverness, 64km from the West coast and 128km from the North coast, Strathpeffer is an idyllic retreat sitting on the edge of the Highland wilderness at the head of the river Peffery.
Welcome to Heatherlie, our family home. Heatherlie is a unique 'B' listed former photographers studio and village Bank in the centre of Strathpeffer.
Built in 1897 during the period when Spa towns were popular with Victorians and originally named 'The Studio', Heatherlie was designed in the popular Arts and Crafts style of the time by a French architect as a Summer house for an Aberdeen photographer.
Being a listed building much of the original
interior has been preserved or restored, including the Victorian bathroom
on the upper floor and the pitch-pine woodwork in the former Bank.
